Seeking nominations for the 2022-2023 College of Arts and Sciences Award in Management–Feb 27 deadline

The Award in Management, established in 2005, acknowledges the dedication and hard work of business and administrative managers in each of our units who coordinate and/or serve as liaisons with the Dean’s Office.

The time has come to begin nominating outstanding business and administrative managers for this year’s award.

The Dean’s Office extends to you the opportunity to nominate a business or administrative manager for the 2022-20223 Award in Management.

All nominations must be submitted online at the following link: 2022-2023 College of Arts and Sciences Award in Management. The nomination deadline is COB Monday, Feb. 27.

Additional information regarding the nomination process:

All current permanent Business and Administrative College Managers (SHRA or EHRA-NF) are eligible for nomination.
Managers are eligible to receive the award every five years. A list of previous award recipients is attached.
All permanent College employees are eligible to submit nominations, except for Dean’s Office staff.

Some factors you may consider in preparing your nomination justification for outstanding accomplishments include:

Leadership and teamwork
Creative, innovative and resourceful
Technology expertise
Effective human resource and budget management

*Management includes exhibiting leadership skills in managing human resources, financial resources, programs, facilities and/or special projects.

**The quality of each nomination bears more strength than the number of nominations**

Please note: The College of Arts and Sciences Award in Management is separate from the Manager of the Year Award presented by the University Managers Association.
