Changes Coming to Duo Prompt Impacting Multiple Applications

The following information from ITS is being shared with department chairs and managers in the College of Arts and Sciences. Please share with faculty and staff in your departments and units.

 

 

Hi Everyone,

 

ITS is implementing changes over the next month to applications that are impacted by Duo ending support of the current authentication prompt experience.

 

March 25: ConnectCarolina (Human Resources and Student Administration) 

  • After this change, if you are accessing your direct deposit, W2 or paying a bill and have not already verified your identity with Duo when you log in to ConnectCarolina, you will notice the Duo page is hosted by duosecurity.com.
  • Additional details about the change are on the project website.

 

April 10: Cisco AnyConnect VPN Changes  

  • After this change, if you are logging into Cisco AnyConnect VPN, you will use UNC single Sign-On (SSO) and enter your Onyen and password.
  • Additional details about the change are on the project website.

 

We need you to: 

  • Share updates with individuals in your school or department that support or use the impacted applications.
  • Ensure any websites, reference materials, or how-to articles about each impacted application are updated.
