BeAM welcomes input from all researchers to inform our strategic planning and help us continually improve Makerspace support for research at UNC! Please offer your suggestions/feedback here.
The Be A Maker (BeAM) spaces support the integration of design and making into academic research by university students, faculty, staff, and researchers. As part of this mission, BeAM offers ongoing tool trainings, design consultations, and access to three different makerspaces on campus. Researchers gain access to private research hours, specialized equipment, and grant support.

The Be A Maker (BeAM) makerspaces support the integration of design and making into academic course curricula by university students, faculty, staff, and researchers. As part of this mission, BeAM offers ongoing tool trainings, design consultations, and access to three different makerspaces on campus. Faculty teaching makerspace courses gain access to in-class makerspace workshops, materials minigrants, and course design consultations with BeAM staff.
