New Background Check Support Request Available in UNC Help PortalSent: October 12, 2023 3:51 pm
We are excited to announce the launch of our new Background Check Support service request, which is available now on UNC’s Help Portal.
This enhancement to the background check process provides an easy and consistent way for campus background check initiators to submit service requests to the Background Check Unit as well as manage all of their service requests in one portal.
Background check initiators can request assistance for themselves or their candidates/appointees by navigating to UNC’s Help Portal, entering the keywords “Background Check” or “Background Check Support” in the search field and completing the service request form.
Following are helpful tips when submitting a service request:
- If the candidate/appointee has an existing PID, enter the PID in the Candidate PID field.
- Enter the ePAR Form ID, when applicable.
- Provide a clear description of the issue in the Summary of Issue/Notes field.
- Use the Request Reminder field to set a custom reminder, which helps the user to easily identify and manage their tickets.
